Colours Cosmetics Malaysia Haul : Swatches and Ramblings

via google

Hello my dears,

How is your September so far?

Firstly, if you are one of the blessed ones who managed to score the local universities,
A HEARTIEST CONGRATULATIONS from me!

This is the orientation week for fresh undergrads in all local universities.
Are you one of them? If yes, how was it? :P

I recall not allowed to wash my college t-shirts and by the end of the week,
when I washed it the water literally turned BROWN in colour. EWW.
It was a torturous week but a memorable one indeed :)

Sigh.

So much for 'frequent' updates... Sorry!
Had been trying to find ways of transferring the pictures from my phone to the laptop.
Previously, I was using AirDroid but it keeps hanging because I download loads of pictures.
My camera is being a bitch, so as for now I rely on my trusty Sony Xperia TX
The camera is pretty impressive. Will share more about it in a separate post.

It has been almost 2 weeks since my teaching practice
and one of my course-mates announced that the results is already out in our uni's site.
GUESSWHAT.
I scored a A- for it!
IAMSOHAPPEEEEEEE!!
Thank you God, family & friends! <3

Okay, I gotta stop this rambling and get on with the MAIN purpose of this post.
Heh.

Colours Cosmetics Malaysia had a Merdeka promotion which ended recently on the 2nd of September.

So, as usual. Being a typical Malaysian.
I just had too.

IT WAS A SALE!

So here are the goodies that I got :

I purposely chose this filter to ensure it looks true to colour.

First Impressions
  • Sleek True Colour Lipstick in Bare All.
This lipstick seems more wearable than its sister, Peaches & Cream. Suitable for fair-skinned girls but it may give that white/chalky finish.
  • Sleek Pout Paint in Minx.
When I first opened the tube, a layer of oil/substance came out of it instead of the colour. So do shake the tube as much as you can before squeezing the product. Note, a little goes a looooong way. You will need a very small amount as its thick and pigmented. It may not look 'natural' if applied heavily.
  • Loreal 24-Hour Infallible Eyeshadow (UK) in Coconut Shake.
A 'meh' product. But it may work fine as a non-shimmery highlighter for those who prefer matte finish. Hope it performs as a basic eyeshadow well.
  • Wet n Wild Color Icon Single Eyeshadow in Nutty.
Okay, I had been eyeing this Nutty for more than year now and finally got my hands on it. I have read reviews/raves on how pretty the colour was, and yes, the raves should be taken seriously. The colour is gorgeous! No annoying, huge chunks of shimmer. Just a superb, sophisticated taupe colour for everyday wear.
  • Wet n Wild Color Icon Single Eyeshadow in Brulee.
This is actually a repurchased item. I have this eyeshadow and I love it too bits. Smooth matte, cream coloured finished which can be worn with a simple, black or brown eyeliner and TADA! Polished look.
  • NYX Single Eyeshadow in Silk.
    Very. pretty. colour. 'Enuff said.
  • Jordana Easyliner For Eyes in Brown Suede.
A red based brown eyeliner. PURRFECT!
  • Jordana Easyliner For Eyes in Eggplant.
A superbly dark purple, looks like black with a purple base. Very similar to Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner in Blackberry.
  • Jordana Blush Powder in Sandalwood.
Very soft and smooth powder, comes in twist-open container. Suitable for fair-skinned girls.
Leans more to neutral pink peach shade. Love, love, love!
  • Jordana Blush Powder in Sunlit Bronze.
Same texture and physical attribute as Sandalwood. A soft peach-coral blush that gives a natural glow to the cheeks. LOVE!
